This is an idea I came up with after watching a few fairyweight battles and then deciding to try designing my own. It features a carbon fiber frame with an undercutting blade using an outrunner brushless motor with a Phoenix 10 controller. I originally used GWS Mirco servos for drive, but now Rebound is being updated to use Sanyo Micro Motors. Rebound debuted at PennBots Fall 2007 with a 4th place finish. For Motorama 2008, Rebound's undercutting aluminum bar was replaced with a 3.5" steel sawblade.
Rebound was retired in 2008. It's parts may one day be reused to make a new bot.
