.: Event Information :.

Schedule
On DATE TBA, we will have a lot to fit into one day!
8:00am- Check-in/Safety Begins
10:45am- Drivers Meeting
11:00am- Matches Begin

Any robot which has not passed inspection by 10:45am will not be included in the brackets. Over 2.5 hours of safety inspection time should be PLENTY! We will take a lunch break after every robot has had one fight. Fights will then continue as usual with grudge matches, official rumbles, and exhibitions being worked in later to fill time between matches. Awards are to follow immediately after the final round matches. We expect to be totally finished by 6:00pm.

What to Bring
When you enter the mall, you will see us in the center court. After checking in, select a pit table and begin prepping you robots for safety inspection. Plenty of tables and chairs will be provided. Limited extension cords and power outlets are provided, but PLEASE bring your own cords/powerstrips as needed.

Release of Liability
All competitors and crew members must sign the event waiver. You may print it and bring it with you to the event, or simply sign one at the event when you arrive at check-in. ALL competitors or crew members under age 18 must also have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
The release of liability can be found here:

Fees & Prizes
Entry fees are as follows: $10 per fairyweight, $15 per antweight, $20 per beetleweight, and $25 per hobbyweight. Entry fees will be collected at the event during check-in.
We have beautiful trophies AND great prizes for the top 3 finishers in all 4 weight classes. And trophies and prizes for the 'Rumble' winner in each weight class!

In addition to a trophy and other prizes, the champion of each weight class will receive (grand prize). These amazing (grand prizes) were provided by our sponsor (insert sponsor here)!

We'll also be giving trophies and prizes for special categories including 'Best Engineered Robot', 'Coolest Robot', 'Best Driver', and a 'Long Distance Award' for the team that traveled the furthest to attend the Bot Blast.

Format
Double Elimination will be contested in all weight classes with 6 or more robots competing. It will be true double elimination... meaning the winner of the 'loser bracket' would have to beat the winner of the 'winner bracket' TWO TIMES in order to be declared the champion. Classes with fewer than 6 robots will utilize Round Robin battle format.

Round Robin format will be contested in weight classes with 5 or fewer robots competing. Each robot will have separate matches with each of the other robots, then the robot with the most wins after everyone has fought eachother is declared the winner. If there is a tie between two robots, whomever won the match between those two tied robots wins the tie breaker.

Pairings
Brackets will be made randomly by Tournament Bracket Builder software, then printed out onto paper. A list of upcomming matches will be posted on a large board and/or computer.
